Yoga in Italy

with April + Bridget

June 20 - 27, 2026

Join April Oquenda + Bridget Galli on a week-long retreat in Tuscany!

While together, we’ll dedicate ourselves to cultivating rest, rejuvenation, and stillness using the practices of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness.

We’ll be staying at an old villa that specializes in yoga retreats, which means we’ll be practicing in a dedicated yoga studio (see photo to the right) equipped with top-notch yoga props. The villa will be reserved for our group only. While there will be plenty of time together, the expansive grounds also provide the opportunity for solitude and quiet.

We’ll also visit the nearby towns of Lucca and Cinque Terre, with optional add-on trips to Pisa, Pietrasanta, and wine country.

  • 2-person room with private bath: $3600 per person

  • 2-person room with shared bath: $3200 per person

Costs include 7 nights of lodging, three meals per day (excepting the days we adventure out for dinner; meals include vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options), and daily yoga and meditation classes. We also offer payment plans.

About April + Bridget

  • April Oquenda

April has been practicing and studying yoga since 2009. She teaches vinyasa, yin, and prenatal yoga and is registered as an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance. She is the program director of the Advanced Studies Program offered at PRANA Yoga + Wellbeing, where she is co-owner.

April completed both her 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training in San Diego. Though her primary study in yoga began with the physical aspects of asana, the spiritual side of the practice is what really drew her in and inspired her passion for working to bring balance to the yin and yang energies. April holds a PhD in English, and often her classes infuse aspects of the yogic tradition with poetry and philosophy. She also studies metaphysics at the Spiritual Arts Institute.

As an instructor, she focuses on inspiration and emphasizes yoga as a practice—something we constantly work to cultivate and grow. She teaches at CSU Stanislaus and CSUEB and serves as a Trustee on the Board of Education for Hayward Unified School District. April has spent extensive time in Europeliving part-time in Italy for two years) and is excited to share the beauty, culture, and countless wonders that being on retreat abroad has to offer. She has led retreats in Italy, Portugal, Greece, California, and Arizona.

  • Bridget Galli

Bridget committed to a dedicated yoga practice in 2009 to support her overall physical and emotional wellbeing. She found a deep connection to teachers who emphasized mind-body awareness, structural alignment, and focused attention to the breath. She credits the transformative power of yoga for deepening her spiritual awareness and enriching her pursuit of balance on and off the mat. She brings all of this into her experience in the hopes of sharing the light and joy of this practice in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Bridget is an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500, Yoga Kurunta ropes wall certified (2017), both a Yoga for Healthy Aging (2018) and Accessible Accessible Yoga (2021) certified instructor, and completed her 75-hour Skill in Action training in 2022. She is co-owner of PRANA Yoga + Wellbeing and teaches the anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and teaching technique portions of the Advanced Studies Program. She has led yoga retreats in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Sedona, Molokai, and across Northern California.

Building community and connection is incredibly important to Bridget. She is an active member of her children’s school, music, and sports programs. She loves to spend time with family and friends, read, dance, and travel.
